CAAB Enterprise Billing is a Windows/SQL Server based call accounting and billing application designed to interface with a client’s telephone system, computer network and electronic carrier billing data to enable allocation, analysis and reporting of costs and usage of fixed line, mobile phone and data traffic.

It is part of our premier CAAB call accounting package (CAAB Enterprise Billing, CAAB XL and CAAB Ti), from our key technology partner TSA Software Solutions.  With a high degree of scalability at a highly cost effective price, few other solutions deliver the flexibility, features and power available in CAAB.

CAAB solutions can be provided either ‘shrink wrapped’ for SME or as a fully customised managed service/self managed installation in the enterprise and government space.

CAAB’s sophisticated data structure allows tight integration with other directories such as, human resources and financial systems. Solutions can be provided either as a managed service or as a self managed installation in the enterprise and government space.

Our Enterprise Billing product includes a range of advances along with all the functionality you would expect from a fully featured call accounting, billing and directory package.

Per employee information

The ability to combine billing information for voice, data, and mobiles into a ‘per employee’ or other organisational perspective to get a true cost for the first time. In the near future (currently under development) this will also include utilities and other generic feeds

VoIP support

The product supports the latest distributed telecommunications hardware platforms including VoIP networks

Complete record

The directory and inventory data structure includes a complete record of past allocations (business units, charge codes and invoice points) and movements which enables historically correct reporting and retrospective entry of moves and changes for the life of the database

Multiple carrier import

The product allows the importation of multiple carrier electronic bills for distribution into organisational and financial structures. In addition to distributing carrier based charges, these charges are subject to a number of validation processes including:

  • confirmation of carrier rental charges and frequencies
  • validation of carrier call rates via a re-rating engine
  • validation of call volumes against telephony system call records.

The product will also facilitate the distribution of call charges from one or more carriers to individual extensions or users based on telephony system call records. It has the ability to import mobile bills from one or more carriers for subsequent analysis, inventory allocation and reporting.

Active firewall

TSA is the first billing company to incorporate an “active firewall” into its voice and data collection devices with the capabilities of full content and virus scanning updated automatically on a per minute basis

CAAB Call Accounting and Billing Solutions offer advantages over a carrier only billing solution in the following ways:

 

  • traditional call accounting cannot provide correct cost allocations for all call types
  • billing for data, mobiles and utilities can be included in the presentation of consolidated billing platform

In addition to the baseline products (CAAB Enterprise Billing, CAAB XL and CAAB Ti), CAAB's modularity can be extended by integrating a number of add on modules which will meet virtually any billing and call accounting scenario.

 

Data billing

Data billing provides packet based internet traffic billing to ip addresses/hostnames which are reported on the same as telephone extensions.

Mobile billing

The mobile bill import module allows for the importation of mobile call records from carrier electronic bills to facilitate combined voice, data and mobiles reporting at a user level. This module can accommodate tens of thousands of mobiles.

Hospitality

Built on top of CAAB XL is CAAB hospitality providing all the features of CAAB XL with simple, easy to use check in & check out hotel/motel call billing.

Credit management system

Credit management system is also based on CAAB XL with CAAB hospitality features plus providing extension cut off on NEC systems.

Operator directory

Operator directory console providing fast directory lookups for switchboard operators.

PMS on-send

CAAB PMS on-send is designed to read the NEC PMS data stream and look specifically for call records. The CAAB call costing engine analyses the dialled number for each call then calculates the number of pulses the call would have generated, inserts that information into the data stream and on-sends it to the front desk application. This allows the front desk application to assign a cost per pulse for the customer’s telephone bill. All other records, such as room cut off/on, maid status etc, are passed between the front desk and PABX unchanged.

System audit service

System audit service is an internet access tool which provides a full telephone system audit on request. An Excel spreadsheet containing the results of your audit is emailed to you on completion. Other features include automated system backup and digital/analogue extension guides.

NEC Knowledge Broker

An integration ‘tool kit’ designed to locate and distribute information from multiple data sources. It will integrate Directory, Console, Call Accounting, PABX maintenance.
