NEC Private Network Services are private network solutions for our Channel Partners. These services are delivered by our specialist wholesale service provider team Nextep.

With NEC Private Network Services, access is priced at a flat rate – not on a usage basis – which helps you better manage your costs and communications budget. Secure and scalable

Essentially, NEC's Transparent Local Area Network (TLAN) provides a securely linked private network for a multi-site environment (of up to 200 user locations or ‘tails’). Alternatively, our IPVPN provides a highly scaleable IP solution for networks in excess of 200 users. Many users love the enhanced security that a private network provides over internet-based networks.

Utilising the flexibility of our NEC Private Network Services product suite, provides:

Simple implementation

Even for the most technically-minded, we try to keep it simple. Nextep’s national ethernet/ATM core network provides a highly-reliable QoS enabled platform to support both the TLAN and IPVPN private network solutions. Our TLAN services – no matter their remoteness - are delivered as a fully bridged Ethernet connection. Or, alternatively, our IPVPN uses a router based system.

Fundamentally, we deliver a series of safe and secure network connections, which form a reliable and low-cost Wide Area Network (WAN). Installation times are surprisingly short, taking the pain out of upgrading to the Nexconnect system. And we also make it easy for end users, too, who usually find connection as easy as plugging in a phone cable.

Configuration options

To support the full range of applications on the network, several ‘Grade of Service’ options are configurable on each NEC Private Network Services tail. For mission critical, real-time applications such as video or voice, ‘Corporate Grade’, 1:1 service configuration provides guaranteed end to end performance. For non-critical data transport, cost effective contended options can be configured from ‘Server’ to ‘Remote’ grades. As well as these grades of service options, the IPVPN solutions also allow IP QoS to be enabled on the network, with up to four classes of service prioritisation.
