NEC Announces Its First SCOPE AdvancedTCA MSAN Products

NEC today announced its first products consistent with the SCOPE AdvancedTCA profiles– the AM3110 and AM3160, the latest in NEC’s MSAN (Multi-Service Access Node) broadband series.

AM31 Multi-Service Access Platform
The NEC AM31 is a rack mounted, large format Multi-Service Access Platform designed for use in telephone exchanges. It features front access for installation and maintenance, and provides 576 DSL lines per subrack, expanding to 2880 lines or more via electrical or optical aggregation

AM34 Multi-Service Access Platform
The NEC AM34 is a rack mounted, small Multi-Service Access Platform designed for installation in situations where space is limited and only a moderate number of lines are required. Typical install sites are curbside cabinets or remote buildings

The AM35 Access Multiplexer is a stackable ‘pizza box’ style product supporting from 32 to 96 DSL subscribers. The separate filter, base and expansion units are all rack, wall or desk mountable, and ideal for situations where space is limited
