Sponsorship Guidelines |

NEC will consider proposals in a range of categories and depending on the level of sponsorship require advance notice. Six to eight months lead time is preferable.
NEC expects our sponsorship receivers to invest resources to work with NEC to deliver on the sponsorship objectives set and to actively promote the partnership and NEC involvement and contribution to the activity. NEC considers all requests carefully to ensure that they meet business, marketing and community goals and are also within budget.
Each proposal is assessed against thorough criteria. Sponsorships are addressed on the following:
- A link with brand and business values
- Creative utilisation of sponsorships
- Naming rights or major sponsor identification
- Opportunities for cross promotion or joint marketing
- Opportunities for NEC staff to be involved in event (beyond ticketing)
- Focus on local communities and community groups
- Events need to be linked to our target audience
- Events must be environmentally and socially aware and responsible
- Provide opportunities for customer hospitality and business networking opportunities with key members of the community, business or government.
For proposals to be considered, they should include:
- Details of the event or program including date of timelines, deadlines and actual event or program date
- Contact details of seeker and any credentials
- List of any other sponsors and other parties involved in event or program
- List of benefits to NEC
- Target audience details and other research to support the event or program
- Any other levels of sponsorship available including costs and benefits
- Method that seeker will evaluate event to ensure it meets and succeeds against set objectives and forecasts
Process of Consideration
- All proposals must be lodged in written form addressing the above criteria, verbal requests can not be taken
- All proposals must be lodged through the website (www.nec.com.au)
- All proposals received will be assessed by the Corporate Promotions Manager initially
- Should a proposal not align with criteria, notification will be sent to sponsors seeker
- Should a proposal pass the initial filter, it will be referred to appropriate members of management for approval
- The organisation is notified of the status of their proposal within 4 weeks of lodgment.
- Further information may be requested at any time to evaluate any proposal
- Should a proposal be accepted an contract will be put in place
- Should a sponsorship be accepted, a post event evaluation report is required to be completed by the organiser and presented to NEC to determine if the objectives were meet and to what extend
- All materials related to the event that feature NECs name or logo require prior approval for NECs Corporate Promotions Manager prior to use or publication
