NEC Australia Achieves BSI Certification

NEC Australia has been awarded with BS25999.2 certification for Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS) through the British Standard Institution (BSI), making the company the first organisation to achieve this certification in Australia.
BS25999.2 which was established in November 2007 is a British standard for Business Continuity Management and it defines the operational framework for an organization to proactively prepare and improve its resilience against any major disruptions to its key services.
The key services covered by NEC Australia’s BS25999.2 certification includes the provisioning and management of 24/7 National Service Desk, Billing Services, Data Centre Services, Service Delivery Management, NECare Assurance Services, NECare Repair and Maintenance Services and Network Infrastructure Services.
In times of recent events and devastations caused by some of the world’s worst natural disasters, this achievement is a significant step for NEC Australia in demonstrating its ability and commitment to continue providing its services and supporting its customers when needed. Read more

NEC New Zealand Appoints New Managing Director

NEC New Zealand Ltd has announced the appointment of Alan Hyde as its Managing Director. Alan is currently the Managing Director of NEC Australia and he will assume this additional role with effect from 1 September 2011. He takes over from Jiro Inoue, who will take up his new role of heading up the international carrier solutions business at NEC Corporation.
Alan took up the role of Managing Director of NEC Australia in October 2010 and brings to the NEC group a wealth of experience in IT solutions and services. His commitment to achieving results through positive change and collaboration, coupled with this combined leadership of NEC in Australia and New Zealand, will enable real progress towards a one NEC approach.
