Viva Raises the Bar for Video Conferencing

New M Series Projectors for Schools and SMBs

NEC has announced its new M Series projectors aimed at schools and SMBs who need a full-function projector on a budget.
M Series models, include: M350XG, M230XG and M260XG.
The projectors deliver bright images and feature wired and wireless (optional) networking, HDMI and USB inputs, high contrast (2000:1) and up to 6000 hours of lamp life (in ECOModeTM).
The M Series was created with the environment in mind and includes a carbon savings metre, energy-saving features such as Power Save, quick start-up, direct power off and EcoModeTM technology, which helps extend lamp life and lowers power consumption.

University of South Australia Moves to NEC IP

NEC Australia has implemented a complete IP voice solution across the University of South Australia’s five campuses.
The project will reduce the operational costs and allow the University to manage its IT systems more efficiently. The new infrastructure features a fully converged IP telephony system that’s tightly integrated with the University’s Active Directory, providing an efficient, cost effective information management process.
The University has also chosen NEC’s Q-Master contact centre application for managing customer service enquiries. The application delivers calls to service personnel at multiple sites. It also provides flexible call queuing, skills based routing and detailed real-time and historical data for the University’s customer and library help desks

RACV Picks NEC for Voice and Data

NEC Australia has signed a five-year contract with Royal Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV) to refresh existing data and voice networks across its 27 sites.
Over a two-year implementation period, NEC Australia will replace RACV’s existing telecommunications network infrastructure with state-of-the-art voice and data services. The NEC solution includes upgrading to new IP Communications Servers and deploying Unified Communications solutions to support all 2500 employees, along with the design and implementation of a 490 seat Genesys Contact Centre. NEC will also provide day-to-day facilities management of RACV’s telecommunications environment including multi-vendor support contracts.
The implementation forms a key part of RACV’s telecommunications services strategy that aims to add member value, improve operational efficiency and reduce ICT costs through improved communications.
Martin Byrne, RACV’s General Manager of Information Technology and Telecommunications said: “RACV required a communications technology supplier that had experience in rolling out large scale deployments that were significantly complex and varied in terms of technology.”
