Dylan Alcott Joins NEC Australia as "Ambassador"

NEC Australia has today announced a partnership with wheelchair tennis star, radio personality and motivational speaker Dylan Alcott.

28 year old Dylan has agreed to be an Ambassador for NEC Australia as he works towards representing Australia at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

Dylan Alcott was named the Australian Paralympian of the year in 2016 and is a former nominee for Australian of the Year.

NEC is a 119 year old Tokyo-based multinational provider of IT services and products and has been the leading supporter of Wheelchair Tennis internationally for 25 years.

NEC Australia Managing Director Mike Barber says a partnership with Melbourne-based Dylan is a perfect fit;

"NEC has long been a world leader in its field – Dylan Alcott is the best at what he does so this partnership is tailor made," Mike Barber said today.

"Dylan is an inspirational young man who always gives 100 percent in everything he does, so we at NEC Australia are thrilled that he will be joining our team as an Ambassador," he said.

Dylan has a career win record of almost 90% in his chosen discipline of wheelchair tennis (quad) and has won the last five Australian Open tournaments, the latest in January this year in his home city of Melbourne.

Dylan is also the reigning Paralympic Games Gold Medalist in the quad section of wheelchair tennis.

"I am delighted to be teaming up with NEC Australia as their Ambassador over the next two years," Dylan said today.

"I have always been a fan of innovation and NEC is a big name company that is always working to reshape the way we live in a positive way," Dylan said.

The partnership with NEC was unveiled at a nationally-televised all staff gathering of NEC employees out of Melbourne today.
